Currently, Wi-Fi Hot Spot Functionality will be available on feature phones for users of Reliance Jiophone after Facebook, WhatsApp and Google services. The company is testing this feature and this feature will be available to all Jiophone users.
Wi-Fi Hot Spot on Jiophone:
The company released Jiophone in the company’s Annual General Meeting of 2017 and has so far been known to have sold over 50 million handsets. Last year, this phone got the support of WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google, and now the company is trying to add Wi-Fi Hot Spot Functionality on the phone.
Testing is underway:
Currently, the company is doing its testing job and is currently in the thought of releasing it. It will also work on all Jiophone soon after all the testing functions of this functionality are completed.
How to Set Up Wi-Fi Hot Spot
This functionality will be available to Jiophone users within the Settings option. To activate the Wi-Fi Hot Spot on Jiophone, go to Settings on Jiophone and select Networks and go to the Connectivity menu. Then press the Internet Sharing option and you will see the Wi-Fi Hot Spot option and it will be turned off by default. You can turn on when you need it.
You can also change your network name if you want and set the password for that. If the network is successful then the Hot Spot icon will appear in the notification menu.
Jiophone was released in July last year. This feature phone has a 2.4-inch screen with QVGA display with 240 x 320 167 ppi resolution and KAI OS runs on HTML5-based FireFox OS. The 4G feature phone has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor core processor and connectivity options with Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G and NFC Bluetooth options. There are 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable memory options. It has a 2000 mAh battery capacity.
The camera comes with a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing selfie camera.
